Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Dark Descent are proud to present the third album from Spanish death metallers Sanctuarium.
From the ominous introduction you will be spellbound by the disquieting morbidity of this record. As crawling riffs and drums serpentine through cryptic layers of putrescent dread, there is an immediately recognisable atmosphere that the band have been developing across their half a decade of prolific activity. Snarling doomy guitars and eldritch vocals entwine around these hammering percussive assaults in a revoltingly unique way. Each bar of otherworldly atmospherics drags you further into the abyss with reverberate horror. There is something to be said about that sort of doomy death metal that holds you in a state of catatonia and Sanctuarium definitely have that ability. Low end bellowing will split the earth while each lacerating riff or contorted vocal will call forth something grotesque. Each song showcases scornful aggression but with dynamic funereal atmospherics that ensure you always have something rotten to sink your teeth into.
Coming together like the scattered remnants of a cadaver, these six pieces contain four malignant death metal songs along with a gloriously demented intro and outro to tie it all together. Clearly the Spanish brutes have thought of everything to ensure you cannot escape this bludgeoning and depraved opus. As each repugnant shift occurs, sneaking through catacombs of horror, they manage to inflict new wounds without ever losing that sense of urgency and brutality. Sanctuarium have their most developed, destructive and savage release to date here for your auditory torture. If festering doomed death metal cruelty is what you seek then “Impetuous Behest For Detestable Expulsion” will definitely not disappoint. A decidedly crushing record that will consume you with its carnivorous hunger and leave only a charred vessel in its wake…
