Horrendous - The Chills Shipping Now! (01/01/2012)

Horrendous' 2010 demo titled "Sweet Blasphemies" was merely a brief showcasing of this band's tremendous potential. In addition to the CD-r version of the demo, two separate 200 copy pro tape pressings were made and sold; first via a cooperation with Dark Descent and Skeleton Plague then later through Dark Descent Records.

Horrendous' debut full-length titled "The Chills" is a full-on assault of the aural senses. Horrendous mixes HM-2 sound with unique melody and solos creating memorable and terrific song-writing . This is no "retro" band but a band that has clearly created a nine-song death metal masterpiece which ends with the epic nine-minute closer "The Eye of Madness."

Do not mistake this band for a clone of Entombed, Autopsy or Incantation. Doing this would be a great disservice to a masterful album and you would obviously miss out on what will be one of 2012's best death metal albums, hands down.

Cover art by Raul Gonzalez (Morbus Chron, Deceased, etc.) adorns this eight page booklet.

Vinyl version will follow this Spring.

Ritual Necromancy - Oath of the Abyss Digipak CD

Following a vicious four-track demo; Portland's Ritual Necromancy began the ground-work for their full-length, the soon-to-be titled "Oath of the Abyss.” Early on it was quite evident that Ritual Necromancy wasn’t the type of band that was going to lift the spirits of the listener with easy going music. The eerie cover art for “Oath of the Abyss,” created by Josh McAlear, is an early indication of the type of punishing treat the recipient shall receive. With no compromise, “Oath of the Abyss” is a murky and sinister debut that delivers exhausting and suffocating death metal in spades. Eight tracks; thirty-eight minutes – “Oath of the Abyss” is a reminder that beneath metal’s crusty exterior lies hidden gems that still can be uncovered if a listener is willing to look hard enough.

Anatomia/Burial Invocation - Decomposing Serenades 7" (09/15/2011)

Available now!

Two of the best doom-influenced death metal bands join forces to bring you two brand new crushing and suffocating tracks on this single 7". When conjuring up a split 7", the idea of Anatomia and Burial Invocation was an easy alliance. Both bands are known for similar yet signature styles which easily make for one of the best pairings in quite some time.

Anatomia delivers their brand of doom-laden material in the form of "Drawn Into the Abyss;" a five-minute beast of a hymn while Burial Invocation counters with the five and a half minute slab of ugliness titled "Obliterated In An Ignominious Grave." This is all packaged with equally disgusting artwork by Dilek.

The disgusting brown/black vinyl version is limited to 100 copies.
