Description
Varathron’s music is characterized by epic atmosphere, progressive immersion, and a latent old-school fire. Formed 35 years ago, the band is considered one of the genre’s pioneers, and their upcoming album, “The Crimson Temple,” is their seventh.
The band’s iconic vocalist, Stefan Necroabyssious, describes the new album as born from the musicians’ dedication and uncompromising passion. Its production is characterized by attention to the smallest detail, from the meticulous production, mixing, and mastering at Suncord Audiolab by Achilleas Kalantzis, to the lavish artwork designed and painted by Paolo Girardi.
“The album has 10 tracks that make up an epic, 46-minute journey into the depths of our insane vision,” comments bandleader Stefan. “We want to express our eternal gratitude for the immense support of our fans over the years and share the fruits of our labor with you.”
The album will be released five years after the release of “Patriarchs Of Evil,” which took many metal and hard-rock lists of 2018 by storm. The band’s lineup remains unchanged: Stefan Necroabyssious on vocals, Achilleas C on guitar and keyboards, Sotiris on guitar, Stratos on bass, and Haris on drums.
