Primarily for their music straddling progressive metal and rock, experimental black metal, and broadly defined psychedelic music. The new album represents a significant departure from the band’s previous discography, even considering its multifaceted nature. “Mannequins” is a synthwave and sci-fi pop album with elements of disco, completely devoid of metal or rock instrumentation. As such, it aligns itself with a completely new musical genre, one that includes bands such as Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, Gost, and Dance With the Dead.
In Hail Spirit Noir’s view, “Mannequins” could be seen as a soundtrack to an ’80s horror film. The album was recorded by a three-piece lineup: Haris and Sakis on synthesizers, and Cons Marg on the mic. Dimitris Douvars handled the mixing and mastering. Fesq.project created the cover art, and Nikos Tsiolis designed the layout. The band recorded a video for the title track.
